Introduction to Secure Label

RFgen Secure Label is a new feature that was added to RFgen Mobility Unity Platform version 6.0.1 and higher.

When licensed, you can use Secure Label to design and print barcode labels your label printers.

You can design your own labels with the kinds of barcodes that meet your business needs in the RFgen Mobile Development Studio. This tool designer streamlines the process where you can simply drag and drop the type of barcode needed, add your artwork and text, and script your variables for each field..

Our new feature also provides multiple methods for merging data into your Label templates and submitting these mergers as print jobs to a printer queues. Whether you implement the print job call process using scripts (Figure 1), REST, or drop files (Figure 2), RFgen is flexible enough to accommodate most customer's configurations.

To ensure your labels are printing correctly in mass quantities, RFgen's built-in Transaction Manager/TM Dashboard, Unity Admin Console, and Enterprise Dashboard are tools you can use to monitor and manage queued print jobs, turn/off printer services, and view the status of connected label printers from one solution.

The Integrated Secure Label Design and Printing feature is supported for:

-- On-Prem. Licensed by number of printers with a connection to the print server (Not the number of queues/printer).

-- Hosted in OCI Cloud. Subscription for # of printer connections.
